In his works, Alexandre da Cunha employs everyday elements that are not typically associated with the codes of art. Through manipulations, cuts, and the merging of distinct objects, his works generate new symbols and meanings. The artist's trajectory and practice are intrinsically linked to a duality of references adopted in his work, where the use of objects taken from everyday life reflects their cultural character and usage. In Crossroads, incense boxes are placed into the gaps of a radial metal piece, with the hollow structure subtly pigmented in different colors.
