[Paradox is a fundamental element in the way Macchi conceives each of his works, bringing together contradictory systems, impossible symmetries, and structures that contain the seeds of their own destruction. In this piece, the artist uses six identical wooden tables, connected at the legs to form a circular structure that creates a central void, an invisible cubic space. By reorganizing a common object, such as the bar table, Macchi turns language into form and form into language. The result is a reconfiguration of the everyday that destabilizes the object’s original function and invites the viewer to perceive absence as presence. The void becomes the true core of the work — an implicit volume charged with poetic tension, where the banal is transformed into an enigma.]
